Konfabulator is now Free!

Konfabulator is now free! It was bought by yahoo and is now being given away. I would download it now before they start to include lots of yahoo junk in the installer.

This is all new to me rridgley, so I had a liittle look and downloaded kitty clock.kon. Windows can't open it. Is this because I need to download the whole konfabulater prog and that would automatically change the extention, or can I change it myself somehow?

You have to download the konfabulator program first. Once its running just click on the widget you downloaded and it should open. Download the whole program from the first link I put from cnet.

Tried the cnet link twice but the download keep freezing, so I had to do it from the other link you gave. What a lot of fun little toys!! Thank you rridgley.
Will yahoo bother me at all with popups or anything?

I havent had any pop ups or anything. Then only yahoo type thing it added was a yahoo seach widget that you can close.

i download it from the official website... but i didnt read through the sites yet... but can you explain briefy what it can do...?

It puts interactive icons called widgets on your desktop. I currently have three (callendar, one that tells me how much memory I have free, and a weather one.)

First I thought what the hay and gave it a try, that was around 3PM. To my surprise I was still playing with it at 8PM.

My favourite at the moment (apart from the weather and clock) is the little green spaceman in the bubblecraft floating around the desktop, smiling! :)
