Full Version: Speed up Firefox tip from CNet TV

Fairly recent video on Cnet. 24 April 07.

Although some fixes make you think there's a difference, I've tried this, and it does seem to increase the speed of Firefox.

Make your own mind up, you can easily reverse the "about:config" changes.

CNet video.

I personally use FireTune, found at FireTune.com.

Link is not working right now... great program..

My apologies, I'll try harder next time; although it was news to me, and maybe to some other people who come here and have never tried tweaking Firefox.

Sorry, Dennis. Those speed tweeks have been around for several years now.

This program is very popular with the folks here when it comes to tweaking FF: http://www.totalidea.com/content/firetune/...tune-index.html

Prefer to manually tweak FF as it is a bit of a learning experience as well. The guide below just about hits on everything related to FF.

No worries mfenech, I've been around for years unfortunately, but only into the net and this forum for a few months, and I've still got an awful lot to learn, but this is a great place to do that.

I agree with that Humpty, thanks for the link.

My education continues. Have I said that before?
