I restarted my computer, everything is fine. Went back & deleted R1-HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Maine,Window Title=Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by sympatico, rebooted again & my default home page is still there.

I very much appreciate your help.

Now re Firefox.

can I operate w/ both FF & IE. Let's say I downloaded FF,
- What would happen to IE?
- Would I still be able to surf using IE? I mean can I swirch back & forth between both of these programs?

In terms of resources how big is FF? Is it going to affect the speed of my computer?

Firefox - Better, Safer, Faster

This holds true. It can take up a little bit more memory than IE, but if IE was a standalone they would be equal really.

Yes, you can switch back and forth, though after using Firefox I doubt you'd want IE.

IE would still be on your system to use at your leisure.

Resource wise I'd say they're about the same, but it depends on what you're viewing and running on your computer.

Firefox is highly tweakable to be made to run better and much faster.
