When I click on tools an alert box appears showing "Type Mismatch". On closing the alert box and clicking Startup it is OK and shows startup items, but when I click on Uninstall the same alert box appears then when I close the box the list is empty and the hour-glass cursor appears and nothing happens. Any Ideas?

You could perhaps make sure your VB runtimes are okay
