FLV Player (flash video player)
Just wondering if anyone has installed and used this type of video player?

I use the KMPlayer, which plays everything I have thrown at it. Heaps of skins available for it as well. Mines dressed up as the GOM player:)

You can play FLV files, if you got Media Player Classic and FFDShow. Just go to MPC Options - Formats and check 'Flash Video File'. Then go to FFDShow video decoder configuration options 'codecs' area and set 'FLV1' to "libavcodec".

Referring to me previous message; most people already got MPC and FFDShow on their system, so it's easy way to play FLV files with that compination.

Here's a little tip for Opera users: Go to Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Downloads and click "Add". Type "video/flv" (without quotation marks) to 'MIME-type' section and "flv" to 'File extensions' section. Make sure that "Show download dialog" is checked. Then hit OK and OK.

That way you don't have to change file extension to .flv all the time, when you use i.e. KeepVid or some other video download site to download YouTube videos.

Yea I've used flv player, works fine.

But the suggestions above seem to negate the need for it.
