This log looks fine to me. Is the computer actually having any problems?
airport101
He says that he gets some warnings about some files are missing out of the System32 folder
airport101
And also i just spoke to hime and he said that he does not have msn messenger installed

if that helps
rridgely
Without knowing the specific error I cant help. Its like trying to shoot a target in pitch black.
As far as messenger goes he has to have something installed.

Open hijackthis>Open Misc tools> Click Open Uninstall manager> Save list.
Post that list.
airport101
He has a error saying Error File missing out of system32 folder
Then it says that this is the file missing es.dll
the system will still start

any help
rridgely
Dont bump your post after a few hours. Not everyone can be on the forum 24/7. At least wait a whole 24 hours or maybe 48(it doesn't usually take this long but it could).
-------------------------------

Run the system file checking feature to make sure none of the protected Windows files are damaged or corrupt.

Goto Start Menu -> Run -> type

SFC /SCANNOW

(There's a space after SFC) , Press OK and it will run the System File Checker. Follow the prompts, and insert your Windows installation CD if requested then reboot the computer after it has finished.

---------------

Open Notepad (Start Menu > Run > Type notepad and press OK)

Copy and Paste the contents of the code box into Notepad

CODE
IF exist report.txt del /q report.txt > nul
For /F "TOKENS=*" %%g IN ('dir /s/a-d/b %windir%\es.dll'
) Do @echo "%%~g" %%~zg %%~tg >>report.txt 2>nul
start notepad report.txt & exit

Goto File on the top bar and choose Save As, Change the Save As Type to All Files, Name it Check.bat then save it to your desktop

Double click Check.bat and it will check the system for any es.dll files then open notepad with the location of the files, If the notepad file is blank then the file doesnt exist, if there is any information in the notepad file please post the contents of that (report.txt ) back on the forum.
