huh.gif How do set up CClean so that after running it I do not lose my recently used files, for example, in Excel or Word? I also customize a news service (Google's news) to show specific news topics of interest to me and those settings are lost after running CClean. Is there a way to prevent that from being lost? unsure.gif

Uncheck the appropriate boxes [e.g., Office] on the Applications tab...

Click Options > Cookies, and drag the website you're having trouble with from the left side to the right side.

Thanks. My recent files are now not being deleted. But the Google News customization is still deleted. I dragged the following websites under cookies to keep to the right:

www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion/1070653934
www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion/1071414168
www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion/1072388928
google.com

What else might I try to keep my customization from being deleted?

Appreciate your help.

Never mind my last reply. I found another google cookie, moved it to the right, and now I can run CCleaner without losing the customization. Feel guilty for taking up your time with these newbie questions.

But thanks! biggrin.gif

You should only feel guilty for multiple posting while quoting yourself, where one is JUST a quote, and another is a BLANK quote wink.gif

Maybe somebody should point him to the FASTREPLY button at the bottom... I guess I just did, didn't I?
