does anybody know of a freeware to password or secure the flash drive, should be a small program; I really do need it and i believe all who use flash drives must secure them too

Um, if you want to secure a flash drive the info must be encrypted.
Otherwise your not really doing anything to "secure it". Easiest way would be to just use truecrypt.
