hi
downloaded latest version, proceeded to clean as I normally do
unfortunately I didn't save the file
but when I opened firefox all my bookmarks
were gone
tried system restore ( went back two days)
but bookmarks didn't return
Please help I can't even think how many sites
there were and password protected 100's
please help Note quasi newbie
Full Version: fire fox bookmarks
Restore bookmark backup:
Start > Run
Type in (Without quotes): "%appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\"
Click OK
Click on the folder, something similar to "q6avd9bw.default"
Rename 'bookmarks.bak" to "bookmarks.html"
If there is no "bookmarks.bak":
Open the "bookmarkbackups" folder
Copy the most recent backup to the previous folder and rename to "bookmarks.html"
That should get back most, if not all, of your bookmarks.
I've heard of this happening to others before, but not very often.
