Before upgrading my version of CCleaner to v2.09.600 I could uninstall Microsoft updates also - Now I only see the programs as I can see with microsoft own uninstall tool?

Why have they make such a degradation of a good program??????

They haven't degraded anything v2.09.600 still shows the same items in Add/Remove as CCleaner on both my Win98SE and WinXP at work. Thats because they both read these items from the registry. wink.gif

Thanks for your hospitality, Keith

You do not mean that they have degraded anything because you runs the v2.09.600 both on a W98SE and a WinXP?? I cannot understand if it should prove anything, sorry

What I mean....:

It happening to be my luck that I have not delete my "old" v2.06.567 and I install that again
In the ADD/REMOVE tools of these vesrion I can see i.e. microsofts secure updates like those on my list below (sorry they are in danish)

Sikkerhedsopdatering til Windows XP (KB923789)
Sikkerhedsopdatering til Windows XP (KB941569)
Sikkerhedsopdatering til Windows XP (KB950760)
Sikkerhedsopdatering til Windows XP (KB950762)
Sikkerhedsopdatering til Windows XP (KB951376)
Sikkerhedsopdatering til Windows XP (KB951376-v2)
Sikkerhedsopdatering til Windows XP (KB951698)

And now the program again gives me the freedom to uninstall them if I want to

I could not see those Windows updates in the new version (that is v2.09.600)

Thats my point - hope you and other (inckude the people behind the program) now understand what I mean

Hi Thomas,
Welcome biggrin.gif and thank you for your information. It is very important because there are so many different users and systems and such.

Yes I have seen one member will report that the lists are always the same(that is Microsoft Add/Remove list versus CCleaner uninstall list) while another member will report the opposite. My original experience had been that CCleaner"s list showed more entries than MS.
I have noticed in newer versions that it seemed that CCleaner was not showing certain Microsoft items such as Software updates and Windows XP Service Pack 3. I use WinXP Pro SP3 32 bit.
I am not sure if CCleaner has been intentionally changed or if it may be a "bug" happening at least under our circumstances.I know that some users have also requested that CCleaner"s listing show more details about size and such.

Just fill in the answers next to or below the questions?

Are you running with Administrator privileges.

CCleaner version ? What Language did you request at install,if any?
OS,edition ,32bit or 64bit and version ?

I am sure the "BUG FIXERS" will look into this.
Best wishes,

Please notice that in vers. v2.06.567 everything is working fine

Answers to the installation of the inferior version (the new):

I am running with Administrator privileges in danish Win XP 32 bit SP3

Yup the newest CCleaner does not list the updates, it may be intentional or just a bug, anyways you can uninstall the updates from add/remove programs by clicking the "show updates"!
