Is it possible to detect a program/folder path from a registry entry? For example if you install a program to another folder (not using the default) CC wont find it. It would be nice if in the WinApp INI you could get the path from the registry so CC knows where the program/folder is located.

Icon Workshop has its own trash folder and its location is in the registry. But since I didnt use the default location for the folder CC wont find it. Hope that makes sense.

So is there a way in the INI for CC to:

FileLocation=REGISTRY KEY NAME HERE
FileKey1=THE FILE(S) TO CLEAN

Im guessing this is'nt possible then? If not, can it be a feature request?

Well you do a search of the registry for the exe name that will show its installed location. The uninstall info knows the location else how does it know what to uninstall? wink.gif
