Full Version: Startup List - Version v2.10.618

With this release, the startup list has 2 false entries from CCleaner [enabled] and many old previously deleted
startup items listed as disabled and shown grayed out. "System Information" shows the CCleaner items as disabled
and does not show the grayed out items at all. If I delete the CCleaner uninstall item, that deletes the uninstall link
everywhere. I can delete the grayed out items but the other CCleaner item cannot be deleted. I find this annoying
and worrying. Can I count on CCleaner working correctly?

I very much like the CCleaner startup control function, I [used to] trust it more than Sys Info. I watch the startup list
carefully in order to delete the items constantly added by the bums at HP, Adobe and Apple as well those by the vast
ocean of "others".

Thank you for a great program Piriform but I hope this is on your list to address.

Sorry, been away. Thank you so much for trying to help.

I installed 2.11 and the startup entries remain. Two items, key = "Startup User"; files are "CCleaner.exe" and "uninst.exe". The later is CCleaner install which if I delete the entry removes the install link rather than anything actually in the start menu. Also, 6 or 8 previously deleted items reappeared grayed out and disabled These I was able to delete again but they were not in the start menu.

This is not a big deal if it's not a bug but I liked it better the old way and if there were many more entries like these it would reduce the usefulness of the tool.
