Hi. I was just wondering in SpyWare Hell, do they clear out the resolved topics? There doesn't look to be a whole lot of activity on that sub-forum. Just curious if anyone knows why. Maybe they're just that good that they can keep the pending lean and mean...

Quite a few people follow the guidelines and run the 'new users start here' guide first. This cuts down on the activity needed by the spyware mods.
There was a short break in the section where help was unavailable for a couple of weeks. This was due to circumstances beyond our control.
Resolved topics are left on the forum for reference.

So, what seems to be different versus other anti-SpyWare sites is the emphasis on AntiVir and Bitdefender. Are you saying that using those suites takes care of a lot of problems without having to go through reviewing MBAM and HJT logs?
Again, it just struck me as curious. I get called a lot to clean up friends and rels computers as the so-called "expert"... And so I'm always looking for that "edge" if you know what I mean.
Thanks for your replies...

Where did I say that using those suites takes care of problems and then no need for reviews?
Read it again, I said if users follow the guidelines it cuts down on the time spyware mods have to spend helping them.
This is because they have done the scans and when a hjt log is posted the spyware mod hasn't to ask them them to do them, and can get on straight away with any 'specialised' help needed.

Yes, I see that. Maybe it's just that Piriform isn't used that heavily.
Thanks again.
