Waiting for some help.

On the first topic I guess it's because Cleaner cleans the Temp Internet Files, on the grounds that what's there are temp internet etc. It doesn't evaluate each individual file. Nothing of lasting value should be stored there.

On the second topic I don't know. Do you have MyspaceIM (whatever that is) installed? Perhaps it's a loose entry left behind after the uninstaller installation, if you see what I mean.

Hi mouse,
You will find that this file can be "cleaned" .

You will not lose your anti-phishing protection.
However it may be interesting to see what builds up. I have never done so.
Fill us in.
Best wishes,

The phishing sites come and go just like the tides so that cleaning the log out is fine by me.

This will be interesting. For a start, I have never seen any folder in Temp Int Files that hasn't been created by windows, so I can only assume that the anti-phish application placed it there in the knowledge that it would be deleted by the browser or other means.

I don't know what CC will do if you try to exclude this folder, I have never told CC to delete a folder (such as temp int files) and retain another folder inside it. I'm sure somebody has.

Hi mouse ,
The Temporary Int file is a hidden file. You need to change the settings on the View Tab in Folder Options.

Once you click it and the others related hidden system files and untick hide system files etc. then click on Apply on the right at the bottom. Then OK on the left.
This should do the job but some Registries have been changed and we will deal with that later if we must.
Let us know.

P.S. As Andavari shows in his following post this is where you are looking in Windows Explorer for the Temporary Internet File . Correct ? C:\Documents and Settings\Cody\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\AntiPhishing\B3BB5BBA-E7D5-40AB-A041-A5B1C0B26C8F.dat 77.07KB
Like you listed in post #1 ?

  1. Right click the Internet Explorer desktop icon.
  2. In Internet Properties click the following button as seen in the screenshot below to find out where your Temporary Internet Files are stored (click image to enlarge it):
  3. You can now unhide Hidden Files and Folders to locate that folder.
