Hi Davey,
Well, it is the defragmenter that came with the computer, I assume that it is a windows Vista one. It freezes for good, it used to start up straight away, but no longer ! I try to run it once the whole computer has started up and is settled, and I have tried it when nothing else is running also, but still no cards.
To tell you the truth, the whole computer seems a bit slow and juttery at the moment, I have run a scan with AVG and installed the CCleaner software, but nothing is showing as infected, and I am starting to get a bit frustrated with it, unfortunatel, my office window isnt quite large enough to throw it out of !!!!
Any help greatly received, and wise words about experience,
Chamms

You are definitely my kind of CCleaner user. Just the kind of member we like.
Either you have a "small" window or an unusually "large" PC .
This MS fix may help .
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947562/en-usWhat Vista edition and service pack are you using?
Also YoKenny's question needs answering.
Maybe you can show a snapshot of CCleaner Tools > Startup.
EDIT Also a list from Tools > Uninstall as explained by YoKenny Also what Andavari suggested is something that I would definitely do.
There are a lot of "bad things" infecting PCs these days. Even Vista PCs.
Keep us informed,
