I have installed CCleaner on a Toshiba laptop tunning win 98se. I asked it to analyse the computer and then ran CCleaner. After running it, the desktop went crazy opening display functions, the bottom toolbar moved to the top of the screen and I had to shut down as I could not control anything on the computer?

When I try to restart now, the computer kicks in to safe mode and I cannot boot normally.

I don't see any feature in the software to return to a pre CCleaner mode.

Has anyone had an issue like this before?

I think I just fixed the issue by removing the pcmia card and reinstalling it. I have no idea why but now I have done this,everything has returned to normal???
