I suspect ccleaner have deleted the wrong entries in my register.
Since I used version 2.17.853 the debug mode malfunctioning and it's impossible to reinstall it.
Microsoft VB6 setup show a message with a problem on the updated components when he finish the installation.

Can you make a VB ERASER ?
(I'd like to install it properly)

Hello rolleyes.gif

because i cannot reinstall VB and no one could help me.
After installing the files in the setup, it crashes when updating components.

Causing the problem in debug mode step by step, I cannot move my yellow cursor with the left mouse button, it do only breakpoint.
So i had uninstall and now im blocked !

Are you referring to the installation of Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime v6.0 SP6? The Microsoft website doesn't list Vista as a supported operating system!

Note that you can unpack the setup file with any archiving software than can decompress/unpack SFX CAB archives to check the file versions.

Something I saved into a readme file with the setup file:
CODE

Before you install you can check the already installed Run-Time by using the chart
below that lists the version number, and date of the files that will be registered.
Only files registered into the Windows registry by the installation are listed,
there are however more files installed.

Well Andavari I've run VB apps of Vista without installing anything and they work perfectly. I've never tried to install VB6 of Vista but I know some people have problems.

Duke have a search on here to see if other users have a similar problem.

Another link about VB on Vista on VBForums and here.

The basis RunTime Files are already installed on Win2k/XP/Vista. It sounds like Duke is having a problem installing VB initially. I presume Duke that you are trying to install VB as an Admin?

You can unpack anything from Microsoft with WinZip just right-click on the file and select Open with WinZip. wink.gif

It's certainly not Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime v6.0 SP6 because Duke49 said "VB ERASER" (ERASER). By the way, Duke are you sure it's VB Eraser?
