Hi, I have only recently been prompted to, and updated CCleaner. Now, after analysis, when asked to Run - it pauses at 4% ... and then, nothing. I have to cancel the operation and wait 10 mins or so before this is acknowledged by the system and CCleaner closes.

Any ideas or pearls of wisdom will be gratefully accepted.
The only major download recently was updating IE to v.8. (I don't use it myself but another profile on the system does).

Don't worry about it - I have removed CCleaner from my system, and will use 1 of the many alternatives.

It's good people are no longer blinded by m$.

CCleaner is by far the best cleaner. It's funny how so many people have issues after installing IE8, but common sense does not seem to prevail often.

If you want to be silly enough and not use a piriform product then all fool you. They are very much at the top of their game.

any company that forces the download of there software should be questioned.

Any user is free to use whatever software they choose.

Not choosing Piriform software does not make a poster silly.

Please think before you post comments like that.
