Hello, I have been using Ccleaner for years, and today, after going into the Options > Cookies tab, I see that I have hundreds of items listed in the "Cookies to Delete" panel. How do I go about clearing this panel? Thanks.
Glenn
The Cookies to Delete panel will list all cookies currently in your cookie folder that have not been designated Cookies to Keep.
When you delete the cookies using CCleaner or your browser, the list will also clear.
As you surf the net, you will acccumulate cookies and the list will grow again.

Thanks for replying. Looking at the list, I see Web sites that I have not visited in at least two years. I use Ccleaner to clear just about everything in the Windows and Application tabs, but all the cookies in the "Cookies to Delete" panel in Options never disappear. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Which operating system and browser(s) do you use?

I am using Windows XP, Service Pack 3. The browsers I use are Internet Explorer 8, Google Chrome 2, and Firefox 3.

Thank you,

If it's OK to delete all cookies, I suggest that you do so using each browser, e.g., in IE8, use Tools > Internet Options > Browsing history > Delete [select Cookies] > Delete.

If you need to keep some cookies, selectively delete manually. Note that for IE8, you must delete cookies in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files, not in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Cookies.

See if CCleaner can handle the cookies afterwards.
