Let me begin by stating "I Love CCleaner!"

But, it seems that it cleans up too much in regards to VS2003. After running CClearmer for the first time with the default settings, something strange happens to my VS2003 configurations.

1) All icons of installed components are missing on the start window

2) VS2003 is constantly running the installer to locate componets and help

Is anyone else experiencing this and what settings do you have in your CClearner configuration to avoid this.

Thanks,

I dont use VS2003 but you should take down your email . Forums are constantly scanned by spam bots. If anyone know the answers to your problem they will post them here.

Two quick questions for you. Which version of CCleaner are you using? What are the configuration settings? I'm using 1.22.142 with the default configuration settings.

Thanks,

I just reinstalled (repaired) Visual Studio 2003 and gave it another try. At this point I'm sure that it's one (maybe more) of the Registry clean up options that is causing the problem.

Hope to hear from someone that has experienced the same problem.

Thanks,

Thanks. I'm going to stop using the registry cleaner feature until I hear from someone else.
