When I check for updates to CCleaner, both Mozilla and IE open at the same time even though my efault browser is Mozilla.

Hi erich41, and welcome to Piriform.

I've seen this before, but the only reference I can find is an old link:

There are a couple of suggestions in that thread which may help, or alternatively another member may recall a more recent solution.
