Hello,
This is my first message.
B4 downloading CC, I was reading "How to Auto-Clean Windows Vista With CCleaner" from Make Tech Easier. It said to be sure and check the "Save all settings to INI file" box under the Advanced tab of the "Options" button. Unfortunately, I ran my first CLEANER without checking this box. So, I went back to set it afterward, and the program won't allow it. Instead, I got the following warning message:
"Failed to save settings due to a permission error".
If someone can help me figure this out, I'd much appreciate it.
TIA,
Moose

Try running CC as an admin. Right click either the shortcut or exe itself and select Run as administrator. Then try checking the box to save your settings. Its a permission problem that CC cant create the file within the folder the program resides.
