I followed the instructions in the first e-mail they send me, but the problem is when I click send to alternate e-mail i;m not getting the instructions, please give me some help. My account is not receiving the instructions. I called xbox live and had them change my contact e-mail address. Same thing, got the first e-mail telling me to go to live.com and click on send to alternate e-mail, same problem, please help!!!!

Are you sure the emails aren't ending up in a spam folder?

Yes I'm sure, the only other thing I can think of is security settings, but I have it set to accept all cookies, so I;m going crazy over this!

Are you sure that the alternative email address is the same one as you offered as an alternative when you first set up your live account? (had to ask smile.gif)

Have you tried using this alternative email account, does it work if you send something to yourself from it?

When you say your account was compromised, in what way?

In case you have any malware leftovers or hidden problems, it may be an idea to follow this thread

Yes I;m sure the alternative e-mail works just fine, and this is the one that Microsoft contacts me with. I was a fool and used one of those microsoft free points websites, then had me account stolen, but it's recovered my microsoft and I have not been able to get the reset instructions. It might have something to do with my security settings, but I have it set to accept all cookies. Any other ideas? I'm also trying those programs to clean up my computer.

It concerned me a bit when you said you were using the programs from the spyware hell link to clean up your computer. I would first make sure you are spyware free and then see what can be done then.
