i ran hijack this after running spybot, adaware, mcafee antispyware and virus scan, also first ran registry mechanic and here's the hjthis log. also, i dont know if it's pertinant or not, but i rarely use IE, i almost always use firefox

out of curiosity i did a search of my hard drives for P2P and came up with the follow, do you know if i should delete any of these ?

uh, oh. i followed your instructions. i had actually uninstalled P2P Networking from add/remove programs a long time ago. there was no p2p networking file in the widows system 32 folder. (i had enabled viewing of hidden files)
so i ran hjthis and clicked the box you instructed me to then clicked fix, then rebooted and ran hjthis again to see if it was gone, and it wasnt. i immediately check the box again, checked fix, and then immediately re-ran hjthis and it was still there. what should i do now.

also, dont know if it's related or not but my microsoft antispyware program detects a program called kazaa but cant remove it. i did have kazaa on my computer for awhile but it was a long time, and many many spyware scans ago.

Download LSPfix from here
You may need it after running Kazaabegone. If you lose internet connectivity after running Kazaabegone, do the following;
Double click on LSPfix to run it and on the opening screen, click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox. Then click Finish. Close LSPfix and try the connection again. You may have to reboot.

Run Kazaabegone from here. to clear out any leftovers from Kazaa.
