when i run ccleaner it appears that my history is not deleted. it is supposed to clean your history, correct? thanks for the help.

Assuming you are talking about your Internet Explorer history, click the Cleaner button at the top left and find Internet Explorer at the top of the list under the Windows tab. Check the History box, and any other items that you want removed.

If you use Mozilla Firefox, click the Applications tab and check any boxes which apply to you under Firefox/Mozilla.

Then, click the Run Cleaner button at the bottom right. This will remove your current history.
