Full Version: .ini file?

hello, i just downloaded ccleaner and its great.
i want to move to a 2nd and 3rd computer but not have to resetup all
the file setting i have setup on the first one, it took awhile to setup.
i am looking for some type of ini file in the options, custom, add folders section.
any ideas?

It's registry based, unfortunately. All of the OCX are Visual Basic files, thus making CCleaner dependant on them. CCleaner could be a lot better as a Delphi application and strictly using *.ini settings; this could maximize portability. With the addition of the toolbar, CCleaner is going downhill.

Here's the key to export for the settings.

Give IE-Privacy-Keeper a try...
I find it much more configurable... and can be setup as a "take along" version...

Yes, as its coded in Visual Basic, its dependent on vbruntimes and OCX files. It would be much better off coded in C/C++.

And I think a .ini file would be very great to store things such as cookies to keep.

And yeh with Yahoo! toolbar it is going downhills. =/

Rewriting CCleaner to be a single executable file and a config file would be awesome, and make it smaller and more portable.

But now that CCleaner is becoming bigger and more bulky, I guess the dream of a more portable cleaning app isn't doing so hot...
