Can anyone point me to where I can download the Microsoft XP Wireless Client (like the one that comes default with all new laptops)? I am tired of the wireless adapter driver that I am currently using for connecting my desktop wirelessly, and I'd like to try the MS client if I could find it.

Do I have to download it? Or is it already on my system and I just need to enable it? Thanks!

p.s. - I have XP Home

Hi docta13,

I did some searches at Microsoft, and it only refers to XP. It doesn't mention anything about the Home Edition so I'm not sure if it's an option for you or not. It doesn't seem to be. Why are you tired of the wireless adapter driver? What changes do you want?

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

You shouldn't have to download anything, it's part of Windows XP Home Edition SP2. Access through Control Panel > Wireless Network Setup Wizard is the easiest.
