just one or two entries that can be fixed but there's no malware showing

Run Hijack This and choose Do A System Scan then place a check next to these entries

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
Realtek AC97 Audio - Event Monitor. This file is used by Realtek to gather data about customers.

O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [Regsister WScript] wscript -regserver
I'm not sure what added this command but it's running from the RunOnce key, the value should be deleted on reboot (unless its prefixed with an exclamation point). If this entry remains in the log after the pc reboots you can fix it using Hijack This.

Close all open browser and other windows except for Hijack This and press the Fix Checked button

If you think there might be any problems run the online scan below:

Panda Activescan.

Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
- A new window will open...click the Check Now button
- Enter your Country
- Enter your State/Province
- Enter your e-mail address and click send
- Select either Home User or Company
- Click the big Scan Now button
- If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
- It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan
(Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
- When the download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan
- When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location so you can post it back.

The file KillIt.exe is fine as its from HP and not added by malware so its looking good,

To help keep the pc clean, consider installing SpywareBlaster. It adds malicious sites to the restricted zone and prevents the installation of malware via webpages.

Also make sure your windows has the latest updates: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

I have Spyware Blaster installed and have auto updates on from ms. and i will read the articles you posted.
