can someone help me? i cant type the letter "k" in lower case, and its driving me nuts! help!

Could you include the order of events that occurred leading up to you losing your lower case k? LOL It could be helpful.

ok sister. here goes. i was chatting with someone, and they said to get a fancy K that i had to right click and choose it. so i did, but the K was really girly looking, so i wanted to get rid of it, so i hit the emotiocons tab and then hit more, and then deleted the k thinking it would get rid of the big pink k, but now i have no k! only upper case! i want my k back! arrrrghghgh!

HELP!

Is it only not work in IMs or something?

no, but would i have to reinstall all my contacts? that would be a huge pain! how do i get myself into these problems all time!

Try disabling the emoticons and see if it displays properly.

haha, well I thought the whole story would be helpful so that someone would know how to help you. I don't have any idea what happened. I don't know why r-clicking on someone else's k made it pink.

But, you won't lose your contacts by re-installing. That's all the help I can give on this subject so far. As for Tarun's suggestion...it's worth a shot.

Another thing is to manage your emoticons by going into the emoticons list and clicking Manage Emoticons.

no, you dont have to re-install all your contacts. just un-install it and then install the latest version, WLM 8.0

i really dont know how it came to be.

You could always use the pink girly k.

tarun, how do i disable them? and where do i find "manage". im using windows live messenger 8, and i dont see these options.

all i want is my 'k' back! lol! i cant even get the pink one back!

not to upstage the "any good porn sites thread" or anything, but here goes. i reinstalled wlm, and arrrrrghghghghggh! my k is still gone! aaaaaaahhghghghghghghgh! im losing it here!

yeeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaawww! i got it back! but no emoticons anymore.

Click the Emoticon button.
Click "more..."
Look under "My emoticons" for anything that says "k". If you find it, highlight it and click remove.

thanks tarun. thats what i did, and now i have no k. i guess i shouldnt mess with things! its weird because the capital K is still there. but i can live without emoticons, but that k thing was making me buggy-im a huge msn chatter!
