Since I have been using CCleaner, every time I run Ad-Aware it finds nothing, so I'm presuming CCleaner is removing everything Ad-Aware would have removed. Is there a reason why I should keep Ad_Aware also? I have been using CCleaner for about three years now and its a awesome product. Thanks for any Professional advice. smile.gif

ad-aware looks for different things than ccleaner.
you should still scan with ad-aware regularly.
Ad-Aware is a program from Lavasoft that detects and removes software on a user's computer that is determined to be spyware. It also detects dialers, trojans, malware, data-mining, aggressive advertising, Parasites, Scumware, Browser hijackers, and tracking components.
ccleaner is a registry/crap cleaner.
as you can see from above, ad-aware looks for totally different stuff than Ccleaner biggrin.gif

to a certain extent running CCleaner will remove items that could show up in ad-aware, cookies being the main one.

Ad-Aware as CCleaner can remove some MRU (Most Recently Used) lists.
But Ad-Aware is for detection of adware and spyware and stuff.

CCleaner is a system cleaner tool, its totally different.

You should keep both, shouldn't get rid of Ad-Aware.
