Not sure if this will help, as you don`t say how far you actually get with this Windows Back-up program. Have you actually downloaded it, or are you having problems with the download.

I regularly use Windows Live OneCare Safety Scanner.

If I`m using Internet Explorer, I have no problems, but I discovered that if I`m using FireFox2 it won`t download the temporary scanning tools. Can`t use it with FireFox.

Is this in any way related to your problem ?

i havent tried the backup program,may do later.just when i tried getting the 90day trial of windowsonecare for some reason it wudnt work.said some error in installation or something.was using IE also
gave up on WOC a good while ago
