As I am tweaking and generally mucking around with xp I got sick of using the run command and going to control panel.

I have cmd, notepad, regedit, control panel, services, shutdown, restart and msconfig sitting in quicklaunch.

Find the appropriate exe within windows and drag and drop to quicklaunch.

Shutdown and restart commands and icons have to be created.

You can also create keyboard shortcuts to your most used apps. The only problem of course is remembering them all.
