Hello skip and welcome to the forum smile.gif

Can you give a little bit more information please.

Are you using xp? IE 7, Firefox?

Were you doing cleaning in CCleaner or "issues"

Are you saying some items have gone from your start up list?

No there isn't. It would be safer to use msconfig - Start>Run>msconfig. There you can go to the startup tab and untick entries one at a time (then restart) and retick them if it causes a problem. Make sure you Google the entries first and make sure you know what you are unticking before you do so. And don't just untick a load all at once.
You can look up the entries at these sites also:

www.castlecops.com <<<Seems to be playing up at the moment
www.processlibrary.com
www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary

Also for speeding up startup times I'm a bit of a fan of TuneXPs "Ultra-fast boot (rearrange boot files)" function - if you want to try it get it HERE
