Hello,
I would like to use CCleaner to clean an external drive. Does anyone know how I can use CCleaner to do this?
I don't see the the option(s) to checkmark to do so. It appears the C drive is the only location CCleaner cleans.
Any help would be appreciated, even if I need to use another program other than CCleaner.

Thanks,
O

This is not a recommended thing to do and here is why:

CCleaner only cleans temp files and other junk. Chances are that on your external drive you only have things like music, pictures, documents, ect. So there shouldn't be anything for CCleaner to clean. Also the way CCleaner works it just empties whatever folder you tell it to clean. So if you were to tell CCleaner to clean a folder on your external it would delete everything in it. CCleaner doesn't "scan" for things to remove, it just deletes whatever folder paths are in its .ini file.

Does this make sense? I can try to explain it a little better if not. biggrin.gif
